Momentary 1NO1NC L16 Series 

The switches are available in stainless steel, nickel-plated, or aluminum alloy. You can freely combine the actuator head and housing, such as a red housing with an aluminum alloy head or a yellow head with a stainless steel housing. This flexibility allows seamless integration with your machine's color scheme, offering an optimal solution. L16 The Series is part of Langir’s extensive line of anti-vandal switches. It offers both lighter and higher levels of protection compared to ordinary switches and serves as an excellent option for indoor or outdoor use. It is important that this type of switch be installed in a suitable working environment that meets its specifications.

The L16 Series is highly certified, featuring an electrical rating of 3A/250 VAC, a diameter of 16 mm, panel cutout, and multiple function options including momentary 1NO1NC or 2NO2NC and latching 1NO1NC or 2NO2NC.

This series can be manufactured from stainless steel, nickel-plated brass, or anodized aluminum, with protection options ranging from IP40 to IP65, paired with an IK rating of IK09.

The L16 Series with IP40 protection may not be ideal if you require a dustproof and waterproof anti-vandal switch. Its protection against foreign objects is limited to tools and wires larger than 1 millimeter, and it offers no protection against liquids.

However, the L16 Series with an IP65 rating provides complete protection against contact and dust ingress. While it may not be the most advanced among waterproof anti-vandal switches, it ensures protection against low-pressure water jets from any direction.

On the other hand, an IK09 rating guarantees protection against impacts of 10 joules, equivalent to the impact of a 5 kg mass dropped from 200 mm above the surface.

The L16 Series also offers various illumination styles, including dot illumination, ring illumination, power backlit symbols, and combinations of ring illumination with power backlit symbols. It supports a wide range of illumination voltages. The base voltage can be maintained at 1.8V for yellow, red, and orange LEDs, and 2.8V for white, blue, and green LEDs. Illumination voltage can also be increased from 3.3V up to 220V.

Like other L series switches, the L16 Series supports high current ratings with its solder lug type measuring approximately 2.0 by 0.5 millimeters.

This series offers flat and high actuator options based on preference, with an optional laser-etched head. A pressing force of approximately 3N to 5N is required to register a keypress.

The L16 Series has a mechanical life of 200,000 cycles, an electrical life exceeding 50,000 cycles, and operates within a temperature range of –20°C to 55°C. It features a maximum contact resistance of 50 mΩ, which aids in early diagnosis and prevention of contact corrosion, a minimum insulation resistance of 1000 mΩ, and a dielectric strength of 2,000 VAC, useful for future insulation damage checks.

All these features make the L16 Series a popular choice for both indoor and outdoor applications that may involve light to heavy exposure to damage and moisture.
