V16 Series Non-illuminated Anti Vandal Switch

The V16 Series is part of Langir’s extensive line of non-illuminated anti-vandal switches. It offers a higher level of protection compared to ordinary switches and is an excellent choice for outdoor applications. It is essential to install this type of switch in a working environment that meets its specifications.

The V16 Series Non-illuminated Anti-Vandal Switch is extensively certified, with a maximum switch rating of 2A/48VDC, a mounting hole size of 16 mm, and 1NO switch contacts.

This series can be manufactured from stainless steel, gold-plated brass, nickel-plated brass, or anodized aluminum, featuring an IP rating of IP65 and an IK rating of IK08.

With an IP65 rating, the V16 Series provides a dust-tight and waterproof anti-vandal switch. This ensures complete protection against contact and ingress of dust, as well as protection against low-pressure water jets from any direction. These characteristics also make the V16 Series rustproof, rendering it ideal for use in wet or dusty environments.

Moreover, its IK08 rating guarantees protection against impacts of up to 5 joules. This is approximately equivalent to the impact of a 1.7 kg mass dropped from a height of 300 mm onto the impacted surface.

This series does not offer any illumination options, as it is strictly non-illuminated. Its actuator is available in flat, domed, or high profiles, requiring approximately 4N of operating force.

In terms of terminal options, the V16 Series supports effective operation with both high current ratings and a narrow range of wire gauges. The solder lug terminal option, measuring approximately 2.0 by 0.5 millimeters, is quick and easy to install and performs optimally with high current ratings. However, this terminal type is not ideal for large production runs. The screw terminal option, on the other hand, is excellent for simple connection requirements.

The V16 Series offers a mechanical life of 1,000,000 cycles and an electrical life of 200,000 cycles. It operates within a temperature range of -20°C to 55°C and features silver alloy contact material. It has a maximum contact resistance of 50 mΩ, which aids in early diagnosis and prevention of contact corrosion, a minimum insulation resistance of 1000 mΩ, and a dielectric strength of 2,000VAC, which assists in future insulation damage detection.
