Tri-colors L16T Series
The L16T Series is part of Langir’s extensive line of anti-vandal switches. Its tri-color illumination style option makes it unique compared to the other series. It has higher protection against dust, water, and even impact, making it ideal for outdoor use where a rough environment is expected.
The L16T Series is extensively certified. It has a maximum switch rating of 3A/250VAC, a hole diameter of 16 millimeters, and can function either momentarily or in a latching way.
This series offers several high-quality material options including stainless steel, nickel-plated brass, and anodized aluminum with an IP rating of IP65 and impact protection of IK09.
Regarding its degree of protection against ingress of dust, foreign objects, and moisture as identified by its IP rating, the L16T Series provides maximum protection against dust and water projected by a nozzle measuring approximately 6.3 millimeters from any direction.
The L16T Series offers the option to customize its actuator depending on the desired illumination type, including dot, ring, or Langir’s newest power backlit symbol, which can also be combined with ring illumination.
In terms of illumination color, you can choose from red, green, yellow, blue, and white, or a combination of the three colors—red, green, and blue—to create a tri-color effect. All these LED colors have a lifespan of approximately 40,000 hours.
For illumination voltage options, you can retain the base voltage for the following LED colors: red and yellow at 1.8 V, and blue, green, and white at 2.8 V. If the base voltages do not meet your needs, you may opt to increase the illumination voltage to 3.3 V or up to twice its original value, reaching up to 220 V.
The L16T Series features a solder lug as its sole terminal option, measuring approximately 2.0 by 0.5 millimeters. This terminal option may not be optimal for large production runs but can be effective for applications involving high current ratings.
It also provides multiple actuator options, including flat and raised styles, requiring approximately 3N to 5N of operating pressure.
When operated without a load, the L16T Series offers a mechanical life of up to 2,000,000 cycles. Under full-rated current, the series has an electrical life of 100,000 cycles.
It operates optimally within a temperature range of -20 °C to 55 °C.
To prevent contact corrosion as early as possible, it is beneficial to know the contact resistance of the L16T Series, which is at a maximum of 50 mΩ. This measurement is essential for ensuring the proper functioning of the contactor’s make/break contacts.
Additionally, this series has a minimum insulation resistance of 1000 MΩ, a dielectric strength of 2,000 VAC, and contact material made of silver alloy, which can aid in future checks for damaged insulation.
All the above-mentioned features make the L16T Series a popular choice for vandal-resistant switches capable of withstanding heavy use and environmental factors.
