L19A Series SPST, DPDT Anti-Vandal Switch

Having passed a range of certifications and tests, the L19A Series SPST, DPDT Anti-Vandal Switch is an excellent choice when seeking a vandal-resistant switch with long service life and high reliability.

It features a maximum switching rating of 5A/250VAC, a bushing diameter of 19 millimeters, panel cutout mounting, and can be configured for 1NO1NC, momentary, or alternate operation.

Regarding material composition, the L19A Series is currently only available in stainless steel. Like other series, it uses Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) as its base material.

This material does not compromise the protection level of the series. It has an ingress protection rating of IP65 and an impact protection rating of IK09.

These ratings provide the L19A Series with notable features. An IP rating at this level ensures that dust and foreign objects cannot damage the switch. While not offering maximum protection against moisture and water, it can withstand water jets from any direction. The series also performs reliably against external mechanical impacts. It can endure impacts up to 10 joules, equivalent to a 5‑kg mass falling freely from a height of 200 millimeters (0.20 meters).

The L19A Series offers multiple illumination options: non-illuminated, dot illumination, or ring illumination. For use as a power switch, a backlit power symbol or a combination with ring illumination is available. Its flat actuator requires an operating force of approximately 5N.

LED color choices are nearly unlimited, including orange, red, green, blue, yellow, and white. A tri-color option combining red, green, and blue is also available.

The illumination voltage can be increased from 3.3V to 220V, with a base voltage of 1.8V for red, yellow, and orange LEDs, and 2.8V for blue, green, and white LEDs.

The L19A Series is equipped with solder lug terminals measuring approximately 2.8 × 0.5 millimeters. 

The switch has a mechanical life of approximately 1,000,000 cycles and an electrical life of 50,000 cycles.

The L19A Series features a maximum contact resistance of 50 mΩ, a minimum insulation resistance of 1000 MΩ, and a dielectric strength of 2,000VAC. These specifications aid in diagnosing and preventing contact corrosion and insulation damage.
