V19 Series Metal Anti-Vandal Switch

The V19 Series is part of Langir’s extensive line of metal anti-vandal switches. This is another one of Langir’s heavy-duty switches with its body made of high-quality material. It is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use where there is a high risk of damage. To achieve optimum efficiency, the V19 Series must be installed in an environment that meets its requirements.

The V19 Series Metal Anti Vandal Switch is extensively certified, offering a maximum switch rating of 2A/48VDC, with a hole diameter of 19 mm, and a multiple function option of either momentary or 1NO.

This series offers a variety of choices in terms of material type. Aside from the standard stainless steel material, the V19 Series is also available in anodized aluminum, nickel-plated brass, and gold-plated brass. It has an ingress protection rating of IP65 and an impact protection rating of IK09.

An IP rating of this level ensures complete protection against contact, foreign objects, and even dust. Regarding waterproofness, while it may not offer maximum protection, it can withstand damage potentially caused by water projected from various directions through a 6.3-millimeter nozzle.

This series provides significantly higher protection against external mechanical impacts with its IK09 rating. An impact of 10 joules will cause no damage to the V19 Series. This is roughly equivalent to a 5-kilogram mass dropped from a free-fall height of 200 millimeters or 0.20 meters.

This series comes with three different actuators. Options include a flat actuator, a high actuator, or a domed actuator. All of these can be laser-etched to meet your graphical requirements.

The V19 Series allows flexible operation with its multiple terminal options. When working with higher current ratings, the V19 Series with solder terminals enables better connections and improved heat dissipation. However, it may not be an ideal solution for large production runs but can perform excellently when used appropriately. Meanwhile, the V19 Series with screw terminals works best when dealing with narrow wire gauges.

The V19 Series offers a mechanical life of 1,000,000 cycles when operated without load, while an electrical life of 200,000 cycles can be expected when operated at full rated current. 

An operating temperature range of -20°C to 55°C is highly recommended for placing this series in its proper working environment.

Understanding the above features of the V19 Series is as important as knowing its contact resistance, which is 50 mΩ maximum. This can help detect the risk of fretting corrosion of contacts and aid in diagnosing and preventing contact corrosion as early as possible. This calculation must be understood to ensure that the contactor make/break contacts are in good working order.

It has a minimum insulation resistance of 1000 MΩ and a dielectric strength of 2,000 VAC, which may prove significant in the future, especially when testing for damaged insulation.
